Hands on animals...without the animals!
By snapshot

Clip to ScrapBook
Hello,

Although I can understand why most schools are going critter free...isn't it sad! Many years ago our school had a puppy! Yes, a puppy that was based in the Nurse's Office with kids assigned jobs, etc. Well, that was then...

Anyway, we have a living history museum near us and they have a nature center with a touch table full of things like deer antlers, old wasp/bees nests, tree bark, old turtle shells, etc. that the kids can manipulate. Also, you may check with a University Cooperative Ext. in your area for some stuff. Maybe parents also have some?

Hope this helps.
