I have only taught one grade in the classroom (although I taught all grades as a SPL). I can imagine how you must feel. Just from your post, I can tell that you are a dedicated and gifted educator. Remember, it is the talent of the educator - not the materials - that spell success in the classroom! How about doing a web search of 8th grade language arts ideas through other teachers websites, etc.? I wish you well!
