Clip to ScrapBook
I use a small magnetic whiteboard by the door. Each student has a mosaic tile with their name on it. It attaches to the board with magnetic tape. My students post whether they are buying or bringing lunch. Those left in the 'home' section are absent. One of my students writes absences and lunch counts on the sheet that goes to the office. I glance over it before the messenger takes it to the office. I've found this a very efficient way of checking in and I like the student responsibility as well.
