Cafeteria Only
By TDSteacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Our school cafeteria has three microwaves for student use (grades 3-8). We tell parents that students are limited to a maximum of two minutes heating time, although some still send in complete frozen meals that take up to eight minutes. (I usually tell these kids that they'll have to get at the end of the line, so they don't hold everybody else up.) The only other problem we've had is students wanting to heat up their cafeteria lunches. (Answer: NO!)

I don't have a microwave in my classroom. To me, it's not worth the space it would take up.
