I started an EdD program

at Walden. I loved my first class it went on for several months. It was very intense and enjoyable. My professor checked in regularly and gave constructive criticism.

In my second class I had a professor who did
not enter into the class discussions for several weeks. I received an "F" on my first paper. She did not give any critical feedback and was not helpful at all. I had almost a 4.0 in my master's program at a traditional university and had also participated in another graduate program. My concern with the "F" was that the professor didn't even know our names, had never commented on
our discussions, and left no critical analysis on the paper. I could deal with receiving an "F" with some explanation.

I withdrew from Walden and never went back. I quickly learned that in the Ed.D. program it was about just getting through it and earning a degree. I am am sure some of you have had great experiences but I would also like to caution some of you that Walden is not for everyone.

I am now in a traditional program and fine.

I met someone doing the Western Governors's program and she liked it.

All, I can say is thank goodness it was during drop add and I could withdraw!
