Clip to ScrapBook
...since I have had a really good principal. We had the best principal before she moved on four years ago.

These are the things that made her soooo good:

Visible to the kids - on the playground, in the lunchroom,
in the hallways, at all programs, at all weekend functions, at all night functions
Fought for her teachers - Didn't matter who she was talking to, parents, students, administration, she stood behind her teachers.
Discipline - Students knew who was in charge. She knew what worked with every student in her building. They wanted to always do their best for her. They never wanted
to disappoint her.
Team Building - This was very important to her. The thing about this is she did it without her staff even knowing it was team building.
A part of the staff - She never looked at herself as better than everyone else. If we had to park in the back of the school because of our parking situation, she was right back there with us. If we were working on a project as a staff, she was right in there with us doing the dirty work.
Sense of humor - Oh my...we don't even want to go there...let me just say she could dish it out as well as receive it! :D
Great Cook - She was always making us lunch. There are so many other things that she did for us as a school and staff. I am so afraid we will never have someone as good as this again. :(

We are now on to our third new principal in the past 4 years. He is very young - 27. One can only hope he is half the principal she was for us.
