My Kids LOVED AR last year.

Clip to ScrapBook
I have to agree with those teachers that have positive feedback about the AR program. We had a goal for each grade level. I was in 2nd grade last year and the goal was 17 points during each semester. I had approximately 1/2
my class obtain the goal for the first semester. In January they began the first day (their choice) and had a contest (they came up with the idea I only had to go to the school library and get extra books for them to read) to see who could get their Frog up on the board to be "Hopping to the AR Party". They motivated each other so that EVERYONE made the party in May. We were one of only
3 classes that did this in the entire school of over 40 classrooms. So in my class reading AR books was definitely reading for fun. I am looping with 15 of these same kids to 3rd grade this year so I can't wait to see what they can do with AR this year. It obviously helped also. My entire class passed the Reading portion of our state testing.
