classroom size (article/recommendations) By stretchberry

This issue has been bugging me. I have a larger than usual group coming, so I'm thinking about arrangement and space. I found an interesting article online that talks about recommended classroom size. It's 900 square feet in the U.S.; mine is slightly smaller than that--832 sq. ft. :( The article recommends about 50 sq. ft. per student for elementary. I only have about 40 sq. ft. per student. :(:( (I think I have permission to whine now! ;))

The article also references some research that correlates achievement with classroom size. It's a good read if anyone is interested.
