Mine was an INTENSE year-long process at the University of Arkansas. It consisted of classes (12 hours/semester) and an internship. I worked in the classroom the same amount of time as the teachers. I was there at 7:30 and left around 5. During my internship I had 3 placements in 3 different grade levels. It was wonderful to see all the different teaching styles. I didn't want to do it at first, but now I'm extremely glad I did. It's done and I know that I wouldn't have been near as ready if I didn't do it.
