HP - but then I only buy HP.. :) By yesteach

As for the ink, as one poster stated, it doesn't "dry up" - they use dry ink (like copiers) rather than the liquid ink in an inkjet. I have an older HP 2200 series. My cartridges are just under 100.00 (I think the last| one we got was $96.00), and I can get about 30,000 copies out of a cartridge if I use the "economode" (halftone). The only time I switch to full ink printing is if I will be running copies from the original or if it's something "official" (letter, documentation for files, etc.). I have black lines on CD for most of our workbooks, so rather than make copies, I just print out a class set. | | I checked with our tech person and he said, in the long run, cost of ink and paper etc... it's no more expensive than running copies on the copier.. and there's no line to wait for the use of it.. :D
Another note about ink... to give you an idea... I usually use a full cartridge in the course of a year, and have to buy a second.. but I've never used more than two... and the school provides them. I not only print my class stuff, but we also have accelerated math printing out on them, and I do all the paperwork for our Title I program and Summer school and GT program... so I do LOADS of printing that's not necessarily mine. As of this year, all I'm doing is my classwork and GT paperwork, and one cartridge lasted all year.
