Notebook
By 3grteacher

Clip to ScrapBook
My first year, and every year since, I have kept a notebook of the things I need to do to prepare for the new year. My first year was especially important since it really established how I would begin the year.

I
bought tabs you can add to any book and made different catagories. Proceedures, parent/student communication, classroom arrangement, organizing supplies, behavior manangement, Jobs, Library, class supplies,Miscellaneous...

I am sure there are others, but I don't have it close to me right now.

EVERYTIME I thought of something school related I put it down in the book. This
helped me keep track of all my ideas and helped me sleep at night knowing I didn't have to remember them.

I think one that is overlooked is classroom arrangement. I know it seems like the easiest but really coming up with a floor plan that will use your space the most effectively is hard to do. It is also so important to the flow of your day to day class.

Good Luck and Have Fun!!!!
