I never thought of that before. I call mine 5-minute timed test, but my students and I discuss that it's not a "test". It just lets me see how they are doing on their mental math skills and lets them practice. My students think it's fun because I take the test too and they try to beat me. They never do though, but are amazed at my speed and motivated to work! I'd love to hear some more names people use for the test. It'd be nice to change it!
