As a librarian, I have mixed feelings about AR. I feel that students should be able to read what they would like whether it has an AR test or not. So, what do I do? I have strived to get AR tests for ALL of my books, or I write them myself. The AR program allows up to 500 teacher written tests, so, if I can't purchase them, I read the book then write the test. Very few books in my library do not have an AR test.
