Simple Ideas

Clip to ScrapBook
I would do these on day 1:
1. Assign seats. This will save you so much time and the students cannot argue.
2. I assume music will be once a week for 40-50 minutes (not much time). I would review these rules with
the students on the first day. Hand up (never call out). If they call out, they should get one warning, the second time, write their name on the board and if they do it again, tell them that you'll call home or have them miss part of recess. Also establish a bathroom routine. I tell the students that if it is an emergency, they should raise their hand (point one finger towrds the
ceiling). This way I can signal to them yes or no without interupting the other students. Also review line-up procedure on the first day or they will all run to line up to go back to their class.
Hope this helps.
