AR Balance
By 5thGrdTeachTN

Clip to ScrapBook
I have used AR for the past 6 years because it has been required at the schools I have worked. As with all programs, I think it has its pros and cons. This summer, as I have been looking for ideas to implement for next year, I ran across a teacher's site that offered AR alternative projects. I attempted to find the site again so I could give credit where credit is due, but was unsuccesful. I do know the teacher who created the plan works for Central Elementary School in the White Pigeon Community of MI. I have attached the introductory letter to AR alternative projects the teacher had created that I plan to model my own after. I think implementing something like this could open the door to a wider variety of books for students to read.
