Yearly school events

Although we cover how school starts etc. sometimes we forget the annual events. Even though at that time it might be overwhelming a little list some of the yearly events. How do you line up for an assembly etc. Look at your teacher handbook and pull out things of most important like drills etc.
Do a page on FAQ. As you know things change day by day but at least it is a guide. Have a note page and encourage the teacher to jot down questions to ask. I had to teach a new teacher last year that it was okay to ask questions. By the end of the year so would come and ask. Let them know even though this is the way it is usually by the book things can change. At least that is the way I always am prepared.
