What a nice bunch of teachers! Not every teacher welcomes newbies, I'm glad you guys do. I don't have the tips you are looking for. But, as a new teacher last year I will give you my perspective on a few things.

Please remember new teachers need to be filled in on everything. Assume that they know less about the school and procedures than you think they know, and it will give you a good idea of how to help. Put yourself in their shoes. Nearly everything will be new to them. And, don't ever assume they know simple procedures, as no one has told them anything about them. Or, that's what I had to endure last year. I had very little help from anyone, and I got the feeling that my questions were bothering the staff in the same grade level. Be as helpful as possible and it will be a great transition for everyone. Good luck! New teachers want to do a great job, but first they must know what they are supposed to do :o)
