I used someone's credit card the other day, and I signed MY name on the receipt. The clerks didn't even check it! I used it in 4 different stores. The name on the credit card was obviously a man, and our last names aren't the same. I had permission to use the card (of course), but I just thought it was funny that it wasn't even questioned.
I've never thought of having different signatures, although I do write neater on parent notes than I do on credit cards or other store receipts.
The only "extreme" I really go to is to not put my social security number on anything. I always leave it blank on any applications and nobody asks for it.
