    I put up rain gutters for my class library. They are underneath the whiteboard in what is normally "wasted space."

    I think I got the tip on proteacher, and it's a good one!

    I use similarly-sized and colored shoe boxes with 3x5card labels taped on them to store anything small and numerous -- glue sticks, scissors, boxes of crayons, paint brushes, etc. Payless actually has really cute shoe boxes that they'll give you for free if you ask. :) Using similarly-sized/colored boxes cuts down on visual clutter.
