Successmaker
By kay/5

Clip to ScrapBook
We have used successmaker for awhile now (actually we started the program when it was still CCC). It works really great at my school. The kids are on the computer for a preset length of time and complete both a reading
component and a math component at their level. They have several different programs for reading starting with prereading skills for kindergarten and going all the way to stories and having the students respond in reader's notebooks for the older students. We use the program daily. The teachers can manipulate the program to allow the students to only have certain learning strands turned
on - if the student needs extra help.
I've noticed that - especially in math - a lot of kids are exposed to topics or aspects of topics before we get to the topic in class. This helps out greatly when introducing new topics.
