Personal Best book
By Tina

Clip to ScrapBook
I have taught 3rd grade going on 6 years. I found "The Best Bug to Be" at the library and have read it to my students first thing in the morning on the first day. We talk about doing their personal best for the year and treating each other with respect. I believe the book is out of print but Scholastic did have a teacher's activity guide to use. I have the students make a bumble bee to take home the first day. I read somewhere that it is a good idea to have students take home a project the first day. It seems to be a positive activity and great book for this age. The bees are all different and super!
