beach

Clip to ScrapBook
What about getting a large beach ball to throw around? You can use a Sharpie to write some math facts, and when the child catches it, he/she says the answer (where his/her right thumb lands) and then throws it to someone
else.

You can also bring in some beach items (shells, shovel, sunblock, etc...) and tell them to pick one item to write a creative story about.

You can do a graph to show different beaches kids have been to, but that might be hard if some haven't been to any.

I'm sure there are some great books about beaches that you can read to them, also.

By the
way, something fun you could do is buy the cheap sunglasses for each of them (dollar stores have them). I don't have an academic idea about what you could do with them (I'm sure someone does!) - but they'd be a fun treat. :)
