    ice cream

    I have had my students make ice cream, not in an ice cream freezer but in coffee cans. They loved it. It was a great science experiment.
    I also made cones and ice cream scoops out of paper. Each time they memorized multiplication facts they placed on another scoop. ex. first scoop said 2's, the second 3's and so on. we hung them on a bulletin board titled "we've got the scoop on multiplying" It was easy for them to place their scoop each time they learned a new fact.
