it's unbelievable and makes me mad - if I'd known I didn't have to major in education in college I wouldn't have and would've gotten a degree in something else - and then gone into teaching so I'd at least have a backup.

The kicker behind this is that when you start teaching in FL - you get a 2 year temporary certificate and if you need to pass tests, or get certain college credits - you have to in thsoe 2 years. Of course - they will probably extend your temp certificate if needed.

FL is desperate - and there's a reason why - the system here is AWFUL!
