I am a student teacher of 3rd graders and I hope I will be of some help. I noticed that 3rd graders are very independent. They like to read alone, yet sometimes with friends. I have found it easy to work through the math homework with them instead of letting them go. they like to accomplish goals, such as passing the 4s, or 5s on timed tests. they like a sense of adventure and are very gossipy. They are really into their friends and love to play on the computer. But most of all, they are very independent. I hope I was of some help...good luck!
