"setting up classroom"
By Leah

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! I am also a first year third grade teacher. I have thought about this and planned all summer. I think your classroom set up depends totally on your personal teaching style. I plan to incorporate centers so I created
spaces for centers. I have a reading bathtub, a listening center, and a few small tables and rugs sectioned off in the back of the room for activities. It is also important to think about any programs or areas that must be designated. In my classroom we must have a special area for the math program display and our computers must remain by their outlets. I also hope to teach using
themes. We are blasting into the new year with a space theme. Make a list of the things that are important to you in your classroom. Go from there. Hope I have helped. Good luck. Leah
