I understand the husband concern though
By Judy24

Clip to ScrapBook
My DH used to complain a bunch about how much I spent on my students and my classroom. I solved it early on in my career by opening my own checking account. I take money from every paycheck and use it how I please. It may be on school supplies or it may be on a pedicure, but he can never complain again. If your husband really went crazy then you may need to do this. I know it shouldn't be that way and husbands should be supportive, but to me it wasn't worth hearing his complaints.

I just want to add a disclaimer that DH is pretty supportive of everything I do. How money is spent is his one big pet peeve.:D
