I do have a myspace page. I got one because one of my friends found another friend from long ago through myspace. In my opinion, it is a really neat way to keep in touch with people. You can see pictures of each other's families, read about what's new with people, and keep people updated with you. I have mine set to private, have a fake location, and reject anyone who asks to be my friend that I don't know. I have nothing to hide on myspace, but prefer to keep it private more for safety reasons. Myspace is not a "dirty" thing. While I feel like I use myspace "responsibly," I do know of several teachers in my district who do not. One teaches junior high and posts pics and conversations about parties, while his students are on his friends' list. Another one teaches elementary, and has pictures of her students WITH NAMES on myspace. I do not think that is safe or acceptable at all! If I were a parent, I would be very upset for my student's pictures to be on someone's myspace without my permission. That's my 2 cents. Have a great night, everybody.
