I teach third grade and here are some of the books my students like: (Please excuse any wrong spellings)Authors: My major favorite are-- Bill Wallace Roald Dahl Beverly Cleary Louis Sachar Libba Moore Grey (She was my high school literature teacher) Dr. SeussBooks in a series: Captain Underpants Animorphs Goosebumps American Girl Little House Junie B. Jones Encycopedia Brown The Boxcar Children Chronicles of Narnia Harry Potter Horrible Harry Bailey Kids Mysteries Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys Clifford the Big Red Dog Curious George Bearenstein | | Bears Amber Brown Anne of Green Gables The Teacher from the Black Lagoon Magic School Bus Arther books Magic Tree House Books Illustrated Classics The Borrowers Easy readersAlso: Sports and science series books that investigate a topic. Biographies Titles: Hank the Cowdog The Chocolate Touch The Bridge to Terabithia The Whipping Boy The Secret Garden The Last of the Really Great Wangdoodles The Wingdingdilly Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs Pickles to Pittsburg The True Story of the Three Little Pigs
That's all I can remember for the time being. As you can probably tell, even though you have 3rd grade, you will need to be prepared for students of all reading levels. Last year I had students on levels ranging from grade 1 to seventh grade. I hope this helps.
