choosing a school
By MS Math

Clip to ScrapBook
I actually chose my school based on the name. It was the same as the middle school I had attended many years ago. Not too professional, I know.
Some ideas for you:
Location - If the school is close to you, then your
reason would be teaching in the neighborhood where you live, your accessibility for after school programs that you plan to attend, etc.
If the school is a distance, then you will enjoy the drive to think about your plans for the day, and the down time on the way home. You can carpool with colleagues and share ideas.
Diversity - You want the challenge of working with students from
different backgrounds.
Rural - You want to share your big city ideas with them and learn from them.
Size - If it's small, then you're looking forward to knowing everyone and having them know you.
If it's a big school, you want to experience the opportunities that come with extra programs and classes.
I hope that helps.
