Is data driving you...
By LindaR

...to distraction?

With all data now driving our instruction, I am curious as to how teachers here manage their data. We use an online program, Data Director, which I have found to be top-notch in storing and tracking data. It concerns me, though, that this data may be used by our District and State to assess our effectiveness as educators.

On the positive side, the task of managing data no longer seems so overwhelming; however, having the "numbers" neatly compiled poses another challenge for me. I've noticed lately that I am seeing scores when I look at my students, rather than individuals who have feelings, emotions, and so much potential!
