No AC

No AC in our districts' classrooms either, except maybe for a few portables. Even our heaters are controlled by a computer at the district office on the other side of town. We're supposed to be able to push a button to override it, but the buttons don't work in any of the classrooms I have been in.

Of course, the district office has AC and heat, and both work fine. :rolleyes:

Some days in early summer and in late summer/autumn it gets so stuffy and hot in my classroom that it's impossible to teach and learn.

If we ever go to a year-round schedule and they don't provide AC in the summer, I'm out of here.
