I would attend

the meeting if possible. Your mother could use the support. If the IEP states no T/F questions, then the school is breaking the state law giving him those types of questions. I wonder where his special Ed. teacher is in
all of this? Have you contacted her about your concerns? She will be at the meeting. Is the meeting his annual review? You need to look at the IEP and find out exactly what his testing modifications are. Are there any other mods that are not being followed. Have a list of questions written out so you will be prepared.
It sounds like his classroom teacher doesn't understand autism.
She needs to have it explained to her - and his grade changed. I would let them know you expect this. Don't be afraid to say anything because these are your colleges. You and your mother are the ONLY ones whl will fight for your brother's rights. If you don't, nothing will happen. The word find was inappropriate. I would add that to his testing modifications - no word finds. You can also add that he be provided a word bank for testing. There are MANY modifications he can be given. School districts just don't share all the information to parents.
What else could benefit your brother? Write it down and have it added. Is he allowed to have a scribe on the IEP? If so, why was the 1:1 not allowed to help him on the movie? Good for your brother for getting up in class and giving a speech!! You must be so proud. I could kick his teacher:eek: what is he/she thinking?
Don't leave the meeting until you have what you want. If they are not willing to give it to you. Tell them you want the meeting tabled and want another meeting. You have to FIGHT and don't BACK down from them. Most of all don't sign ANYTHING unless it is exactly what you want. Keep in mind all the modifications will stay in place even through college and can be changed.
You can do all of this in an extremely pleasant manner too. You don't have to be rude but you want everything you can get for your brother. The district has broke the law by going against the IEP.

Well I hope I have given you something to think about. You can look up testing modifications and find others. Go into the meeting with your notes and what you want. Good luck to you.
