Multiplication Songs

I've already posted this somewhere else on the boards, forgive me if you've seen it...Opening Eyes to Mathematics has a tape of songs called Musical Array-ngements. But before you start with memorizing, I disagree with Pat, children need to develop an understanding of the concept. Try Cognitively Guided Instruction published by Heinemann or Opening Eyes published by Math Learning Center for setting the stage for this. Also see the research done by C. Kammii, T. Carpenter, L. English (National Council For Teachers of Mathematics) on the subject of children's understandings of mathematics concepts...Good luck!
