this is my fourth year teaching third grade. i hear what you are saying about them not being able to tell time. rule number 1- when they ask you what time it is pretend like you don't know. i always say you tell me. a game you could play and worked for my summer school class is this- write the numbers of the clock on pieces of paper, lay them on the floor like a clock. call out a time and two students up, make sure you tell them who is the minute hand and who is the hour hand. the students then have to lay down on the floor and show you the time with their bodies. there you go human clocks.
