Clip to ScrapBook
My son had similar issues, it looked like he did everything with his foot. He avoided anything and everything that had to do with fine motor because it was hard for him. I bought, made, and tried everything to support him
and was fortunate to have a very kind, caring Kindergarten teacher that encouraged him. His first grade teacher was not as understanding, in fact gave him a B in effort because of his handwriting/coloring even though he had all As in his subjects. A new box of crayons, a little talk, and lot of patience later, things improved. It was as if his body was out of sync and things came together
late in grade one.

Note -I also had to help him decide which hand to use when he was 4 as he used both. His PreK teacher and I asked him to do many activities with both and determined that his right was a tad bit stronger, so we went with that. Thus he was delayed a bit which may also have impacted his development.

Good Luck!
