Clip to ScrapBook
This is the first year I started a learning "bank" in my classroom. Each day I add a penny to our "bank" on the chalkboard using large magnetic coins. When we reached day 5 we traded 5 pennies for a nickel, 10th day 5 more pennies for another nickel - then the two nickels for a dime, etc. We are now on our 37th day and the kids are really responding well to our learning bank. I'm anxious to begin our money unit to see if it has made a difference! We will also have a class celebration when we reach $1.
