I can't believe this parent. I agree with the other posters and wouldn't tell the mother anything except how wonderful he is. I would also let the mother know you do not eat lunch with the students so you don't know what he eats. As far as how he sits, I'd just tell her he always sits appropriately. It seems you will need to watch him and "Make" him go to the bathroom as needed. Let hime know it's not good for his kidneys to have to wait. If she is still spanking a 3rd grader, this would just be another red flag to me that there are problems at home. Maybe he should go talk to a guidance councelor. Let him know everything is confidential and that his mother will never find out if that is what he wants. However, if he is in danger, of course that's another story...
