I don't have a lot of space in my room, so I got posterboard and some of those small, sqaure envelopes (6 of them)(that you would put Thank You cards in) and glued them backward on the posterboard so that the flap was facing me. I then took different groupings of coins, taped them up on each envelope (I started with a nickel on the first one, then added 3-4 coins on each envelope after, to make it more difficult). I also took index cards, and wrote each answer out and then stuck them in the individual envelopes, and closed the flap.
The students could go to this poster when they were done with their work, write down their answers for each problem, and check them once they were done. This has been a hit in my room. I plan on changing around the coins soon to make it interesting and more challenging. I hope that this helps you a bit.
