I have never had a complaint about too much. Some of my colleagues also give a handwriting page. I do recommend that you not let the kids do homework at school. Parents need to see what their kids are doing at school, and they want to participate. If you let the kids who finish early do homework, it is kind of like punishing the kids who aren't as speedy. It also makes parents wonder if their kids just isn't bringing their work home.

If you need fillers for the earlybirds, have educational games, crosswords, wordsearches, repeat worksheets, poems to illustrate, etc.
