If you don't want to study only one regional group, you could compare and contrast different ways of life of different Indians.

For example,
WHat was it like for the Southwest Indians to live in houses made of Adobe? Why were the entrances at the top?

as opposed to

Which indians lived in Teepees? How could they survive with such simple structures?

as opposed to

Why did so many families in the East live in one Longhouse? Why did the Eastern Woodlands Indians build their homes from Wood, and not clay, like in the southwest?
