ratemystudents ? Just kidding, but Ratemyteachers has NO accountability--students are allowed to post whatever they want without any documentation of validity. As sarah78's message says some of the ratings are probably from a resentful or revengeful student who is hiding behind anonymity. I know this was true for my daughter, a secondary teacher who began her teaching career as a mid-first-semester replacement for a teacher who just walked out. This was 3 years ago and the poor rating she received from a student who wanted Mr. Walkout back is still there. It doesn't matter much--my daughter has moved to a new city since then, (and a new teaching position) but it was so hurtful to her at the time. :( I sure did want to thump that student!
