reading groups

Clip to ScrapBook
Get a copy of "Guided Reading" by Fountas and Pinnell. This is a great approach to reading groups because you meet the varied needs of all of your students. If you like to do learning centers, this method works alongside guided reading. Give it a try...after a weekend of reading up on it you will be able to implement part of it immediately. Take it slow and don't give up on it to easily. I was a first grade teacher last year and used it with my students and this year in second grade I plan to use it again with some possible modifications. I saw great strides made by all of my readers. Good luck and if you have any questions, let me know.
