stained glass
By Tounces

Clip to ScrapBook
I have the kids make stained glass decorations for the windows for all seasons using a different method. Here's the procedure:

1. draw the outline on waxed paper, make black lines with a marker
2. cut up small pieces of tissue paper the colors of your choosing
3. the kids put the tissue paper on with a brush using liquid starch
they cover the entire picture to get it all wet
4. once it dries over night, the kids can cut around the outside

It dries hard. I recently made Fall leaves using orange, red and yellow tissue paper. It works great for all sorts of pictures. Its real easy for the kids to make and they enjoy doing them.
