Easy "stained glass" decorations

I was just reading through the posts on the Busy Board when I saw that someone asked for ideas for a holiday project. Unfortunately, I forgot what the title of that post was :confused: when I left the site to look through
my bookmarks for the information below. I decided to start a new thread with hopes that the person who was asking questions about it finds this, here.

Someone in that thread suggested photocopying stained glass photos onto transparencies and then having students fill in with color. Another person asked the question: use overhead markers or permanent? The answer is to use permanent
markers because overhead markers will wipe off.

My students have done a very similar project following the explanations and 'printables' supplied on this site. Gives a nice result for such an easy activity.
