Synonyms for over-used words
By Risa

Clip to ScrapBook
In Writer's Workshop, we've been working on revisions for word choice. My students keep needing a thesaurus, but we only have a few copies available. I decided to compile this 4 page list from two websites I found. (They
are listed in the footer of the pages.)

I wanted to fit them all onto as few pages as possible, yet still allow them to be easily scanned when they need a word. I plan on copying them back to back for their 'STAR notebooks' in which they keep their resource materials. I made the margins very small (.4) so they may not download for you as I have them. I also made this version in the
Times New Roman font since it seems most computers have this font. Of course, once you download it, you can make any adjustments you may need.

Hope you find them useful!

P.S. I just realized I typed something wrong in the footer: I wanted to note that I made a few changes from what I found on the websites. I typed 'adaptions' but it should have been 'adaptations'. Please make that change in your downloaded copies.

Thanks to those who left comments! Nice to know the work is appreciated!
