Observation
By Laura

Clip to ScrapBook
Though it does sound like she wants to observe, remind her that her daughter will not act naturally with her there.
Give her something to do like listen to children read or quiz children on pre tests. You want to let her daughter know you value her and her family. It will also give the mom a bit of taste to what we do as teachers.
If she wants to observe them perhaps letting mom watch from a far without the child's knowledge is best.
Make sure that the child sees her mom in a helping mode. I believe that if a child believes that a parent is that involved that they will strive to do better.
