read alouds
By BookMuncher

Clip to ScrapBook
I'll go first. ;) I don't have my log here at home with me, BUT I looked at it recently and I found that:

I'm my #130th read aloud this year.
I'm not sure what number school day we're on, so I don't know how
many RA's I'm averaging, but I'm guessing it's around 3?
Some days I've only read aloud once, but others 6 or 7
Most days I read 3-4
I've only skipped 1 day of reading aloud
My non-fiction read alouds are PATHETIC... I have like 5 for the whole 2.5 months
I read about 3 or 4 realistic fiction books per week
I read a ton of fantasy fiction books (too many)
I've been
re-reading books about once or twice a week, which is better than last year, but still needs to be more.
A large chunk of my read alouds are songs, ABC books, spotlight authors, and other books that the kids can read themselves and that we are currently studying. These books are usually shorter and they are how I am able to sometimes read 6 or 7 books a day (They function more as short book advertisements).
