read that to use two years ago. He was a nice man, but hard to read, and not the least bit "soft/mushy gushy." He couldn't read that story to us without getting choked up.

Our administrators are aware of the story, and of the sentiment, but sometimes I think they need to be reminded that we don't teach reading, math, writing, etc. We do teach children.

I'll be passing this on to my wonderful principal who will appreciate it!
