positive attitude
By Emme

Clip to ScrapBook
One of the first JW parents I had told me that they did not expect me to know all the rules of their religion, nor did they expect their first grade child would. They said they expected she would make mistakes but that was
part of the learning process and they didn't expect complete knowledge and understanding from a 6 year old. With their understanding and stress-free attitude I was more than happy to do whatever adaptations I could in the classroom. But I was never expected to eliminate holiday decorations, songs, activities for the other children. They face Christmas decorations, patriotic songs,
Easter displays wherever they go in town, and they deal with it as they need to. I just kept them aware in advance of what we would do, and they saw and appreciated my efforts to adapt what I could.
